Detective Frank “Pink” Bettman, Fort Worth native, joined the Police Department in 1988, after graduating from U.T.A. with a B.A. degree in Criminology.  He earned his Detective badge in 1993, stacking up the commendations for solving Cowtown Crimes.  With the retirement of Henry Banks in 2005, he was promoted to Head of Major Crimes.  Growing up on Wooten Drive, Pink Bettman went to Westcliff Elementary, Wedgewood Middle School, and Paschal High School, home of the Purple Panthers, where he was a left tackle on the football team.  He’s divorced, no children, likes his privacy and good food.  For fun, he goes fishing for bass when he has the time.  He got his nickname “Pink” when he was 15, when he starred in the Casa Manana children’s theater production  Toast’ems, playing the role of the Pink Fox, a jewel thief.

Currently, he stars in the Cowtown Crimes series, the monthly mystery, written by M.D. Poole, next one due out July 15!  Here’s an easy link to last month’s Detective Bettman crime tale:
